About Our Guest:

Kelci Harris, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in the department of Psychology at the University of Victoria. Kelci’s research centres around friendship. Her work is driven by three main research questions: How do friendships affect us? How do we affect our friendships? And what do friendships look like?  Kelci studies how personality and individual differences impact how we make, keep, and lose friends. She also holds an interest in intergroup friendships, and how our social identities influence the structure, composition, and utilization of our friendship networks. Kelci completed her doctoral work at Washington University in St. Louis.
